Merritt Island

Beaches

There are also plenty of hotels and resorts to choose from, and if you decide to become a permanent resident, Brevard County has miles and miles of oceanfront homes and condos.

Port Canaveral is home to fishing charters, cruise ships and waterfront restaurants. In the evenings, the party begins, with live bands, cocktails and dancing turning this place into a late night hot spot. The Cocoa Beach Pier is another entertainment hub, hosting festivals and events, and nightly entertainment.

Patrick Air Force Base is located on the southern tip of Cocoa Beach. It has been an essential element of the community for many years and provides a boost to the local housing and job markets.

Satellite Beach, Indian Harbor Beach, and Indialantic are great beachside places to live, work and play. The 5th Avenue boardwalk, with its surrounding shops and restaurants, makes a great day trip. A little farther south and you will be in Melbourne Beach, a long quiet stretch of beautiful residential area; a true escape from all of the hustle and bustle.
